The Geology Museum started with the mineral cabinet exhibited by Geology Professor Arthur Lakes (of Morrison dinosaur fame) and now houses more than 75,000 minerals, fossils, gemstones, and rocks. Exhibits feature Worldwide Minerals, Gemstones and Precious Metals, Colorado Mining History, Golden Area Geology, the Clear Creek Cave, and the Guild Gold Mine. Admission is free.
