Golden Pioneer Museum parlor
One of the area's oldest museums, the Pioneer Museum was founded as a WPA project in 1939. The Museum has changed greatly since its move to its current location at 923 Tenth St in 1996, but continues its focus on preserving and display Golden's historical artifacts of 1849-1945.

The Harmsen Collection
A recent addition is the new Harmsen Gallery, featuring Western paintings and sculptures from the amazing art collection of William and Dorothy Harmsen, founders of the Jolly Rancher Candy Company. Museum & new Tumbleweeds Gift Shop open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Admission. Located in historic downtown Golden.
